Nitish should clarify his stand after Sushma, Advani statements on Narendra Modi: Lalu

Patna,(BiharTimes): Following the statements of BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and Lal Krishna Advani, Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Yadav on Monday asked the Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar to clarify his stand on prime ministerial candidate of the saffron party.

Talking to the media at Madhepura on Monday morning he said Nitish used to say that his party would snap ties with the BJP after its leadership would announce the name of Gujarat chief minister, Narendra Modi, as the prime ministerial candidate. Now that both Sushma Swaraj and Lal Krishna Advani had publicly endorse his name Nitish should make it public whether he is with “teen mein hain ke terah mein hain.” (Whether he is with the BJP or not).

He accused Nitish of indulging in double-speak to befool the people of Bihar.

Addressing a big public meeting at Parivartan Yatra in Saharsa on Sunday he said the RSS and BJP have made significant inroads in the minorities-dominant border districts during the NDA regime fostering a sense of insecurity among the Muslims. He once again alleged that Nitish was sitting on the “lap of communal forces for political power.”

In Saharsa Lalu also said that he is more popular than Nitish in Pakistan.

Citing the example of a Pakistani member of Parliament, who while participating in the debate over the condition of railway in his country, praised Lalu Yadav, the RJD leader said his contributions as the railway minister is being talked about in political circles in Pakistan even now.

The Pakistani lawmaker Sajid Ahmed even asked his country to hand over the railway portfolio to Lalu Yadav as its condition is very bad in his country.
