Patna,(BiharTimes): Raj Kumar Yadav alias Mantu Yadav, brother of RJD MLA and former Excise Minister, Surendra Yadav, surrendered before the court of chief judicial magistrate (CJM) on Monday.
He is a named accused in the recent hooch tragedy in Gaya district that claimed a dozen lives on December 10.

Police said that Mantu appeared in the district court virtually unnoticed and surrendered before the CJM court.
According to City SP Akhtar Hussain separate police teams had carried out raids in Koderma, Hazaribag, Giridih and Dhanbad districts and Patna and Gaya districts to arrest Mantu, who had gone underground after a case was lodged against him with Rampur police station following the tragedy.
The police had obtained a warrant of arrest and also applied for attachment of Mantu’s property to pressurize him to surrender.
