Patna,(BiharTimes): The controversial Janata Dal (United) MLA from Badharia Assembly seat in Siwan district, Shyam Bahadur Singh, on Wednesday danced with bar girls at a cultural programme at a marriage ceremony in Gopalganj district.
Incidentally, different television channels on Thursday and Friday aired a footage which showed him dancing with girls. |
The MLA, according to reports, had gone to the house of a brick-kiln owner Ajay Singh at Jafra in Gopalganj district from where they proceeded to Katalpur village in the same district to attend a marriage function. Singh was shown dancing during the cultural programme on Wednesday night.
While talking to media he confirmed having gone to attend the marriage but denied having danced with bar girls. He said that he only danced with the ‘artists’present.
He felt that there was nothing wrong in dancing as people and elders usually dance on such occasions to demonstrate their joy over the marriage of their loved ones.
It needs to be recalled that ruling JD(U) had in 2010 issued a show-cause notice to Singh when TV channels showed him with dance girls at a programme in Patna.
However, this time no party leader is in position to make comment on this act of the MLA.
