Seeking justice for the 14 Dalits convicted in the Amousi block of Khagaria district the party will observe “Protest Day” on the day throughout the state in protest against the ruling.
The CPI ML general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya and central committee member Dhirendra Jha claimed that those convicted were innocent and alleged that the police probe could not reach the real mastermind behind the massacre.
They also termed the ongoing three-day Global Summit as sheer wastage of public money.
Bhattacharya said the government did not have concrete achievements to show to the world. He said the Nitish government had held a Global Meet during its first tenure to attract investments, but that never came. This time it is own conceding that the Summit is not aimed to woo investors but to showcase the changes in Bihar.
He said during the first five-year term of the present regime, the condition of roads and the law and order showed some sign of improvement. But now the roads have become dilapidated and the law and order situation has reached its lowest point. The state government has failed on all the fronts. The police atrocities is on the rise.
He also extended CPI ML’s support to the central trade unions’ call for nationwide strike on February 28.
