Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad on Saturday dubbed the three-day Global Summit On Changing Bihar as nothing but sheer waste of public money and exercise in futility.Talking to mediapersons after a long time in the state capital he asked the chief minister Nitish Kumar to explain to the people as to what had happened after the last Global Meet held five years back. |
Not a single investor came to Bihar in the last six years. The present Summit is nothing but an image make-over exercise by Nitish Kumar. He asked the chief minister to explain the rationale behind organizing such Summit. He hit out at Nitish for the oft-repeated clarifications that the Summit was not investors meet and no no MoU is proposed to be signed. The former Railway Minister said the ground reality is that poverty continues, the condition of farmers is bad and law and order has deteriorated. After all who would be held responsible for the sheer waste of the public money being spent on holding the Summit, he asked.
