Patna,(BiharTimes): Rain played spoilsport on New Year’s day on Sunday.
Patna had a relatively peaceful and low-key New Year in comparison to past. Till late evening not a single arrest was made from anywhere in the state capital. |
Intermittent rain forced many people to cancel their programme and celebrate New Year at home. The attendance at Kumhrar Park, Sanjay Gandhi Biological Garden and other places was less. However, restaurants were packed to their capacity.
Till last year cases of eve-teasing, theft, drunken and rash driving and other serious crimes were much higher. A couple of years back inmates of NMCH boys’ hostel created ugly scene in the girls’ hostel forcing the girls to remain inside their rooms.
