Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said on Thursday that film-star Shatrughan Sinha and Syed Shahawaz Hussain are two secular persons in a communal party, the BJP.
Addressing partymen in the party office on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the foundation of RJD he complimented the Patna Saheb and Bhagalpur MPs Shatrughan Sinha and Syed Shahnawaz Hussain respectively by stating that they are truly secular politicians. |
However, he has no word of praise for the chief minister, Nitish Kumar. Lalu held him responsible for the alleged rise in incidents of atrocities against minorities and weaker sections of the society in Bihar.
Be it the death of four Muslims in police firing in Forbesganj on June 3 last year or custodial deaths of youths, the state government stands fully exposed.
On the arrest of a number of Muslim youths from Madhubani, Darbhanga and Kishanganj districts on fabricated terror charges by the security agencies and the police of other states, Lalu charged the chief minister with doing little to take up the cases of these innocent youths, except making mild protests just for the sake of show.
The RJD chief sees a sinister conspiracy to bring disrepute to these districts as terror hubs like Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.
Lalu publicly took the name of Shakeel Ahmed Khan, who a few months back crossed over to the Janata Dal (United) and accused Nitish of breaking leaders from different parties.
On secular prime ministerial candidate he said Nitish is trying to befool the people as he was making such a comment despite keeping links with the RSS.
