Patna,(BiharTimes): Two groups of dacoits simultaneously raided two wholesale medicine shops in Govind Mitra Road of Patna on Sunday afternoon and looted Rs six lakhs from them.
Though normally the wholesale medicine market remains close on Sunday these two shops were opened because of some internal audit work. |
In all seven armed youths were involved in the incidents. Criminals looted Ambika Agency and Kalyani Pharma in Prafulla Commercial Complex between 1pm and 1.15pm. While the first group of four decamped with Rs 4.5 lakh at Ambika Agency the other one looted Rs 1.5 lakh from Kalyani Pharma.
Both the groups left the shops warning their owners and employees of dire consequences if they raised an alarm. The youths walked out of the two shops pulling their shutters down and fled on two-wheelers parked a little distance away. The operation lasted about 20 minutes.
Incidentally, there is a police outpost in Govind Mitra Road yet criminals dare to commit dacoity and murder at regular interval here.
On April 5 2010 another wholesale trader Radheshyam Agrawal was killed by criminals and looted amount from him while he was closing the shop to return home.
