Patna,(BiharTimes): Following the assurance of DGP Abhayanand, that the BJP MLC, Ashok Agarwal, would be arrested within 24 hours the agitated mob relented and allowed the autopsy of Dhiraj Kumar. The body was later cremated. |
The DGP personally spoke to the family members of Dhiraj Mahto in this regard. Though 24 hours deadline has expired the whereabouts of Ashok Agarwal could not be known. This notwithstanding the fact that voting for the presidential election is going on in Patna, in which legislators do take part.
The DGP also spoke to Katihar DM Virendra Prasad Yadav and SP in-charge Yugal Kishore Sinha on Tuesday.There is no word about the bodyguard who is said to have fled. Earlier, officials said that he had been taken into custody. Agarwal had on Tuesday said that Dhiraj died of accidental fire by his bodyguard though the brother of deceased directly accused the MLC of killing him.
