Acting on a tip off a police team nabbed the six persons during raids conducted on Katyani Apartments in Pataliputra and two other houses in Nehru Nagar. SHO of Pataliputra Police Station Parmendra Bharti confirmed the arrest of six youths and girls.

They recovered medicine, condoms, porn CDs, cell phones etc. Efforts are on to arrest more pimps and master mind behind the racket. They used to lure customers from Patna junction, Dak Bungalow, Frazer Road, Boring Road and bring them to the raided accommodation.

Customers were provided girls between Rs 1000 and 3,000. Police said most of the girls are from West Bengal which suggests that the ring is extended to that state. Meanwhile, the main accused in the gang-rape case, Prashant Jha, after being brought to Patna on Sunday, said that he committed the act out of rage and revenge as his girl friend––the victim––went on to befriend other boys when he went over to Delhi sometimes back.
