Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday hit back at his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi by stating that the latter does not need to preach him.
In an indirect reference to 2002 riots Nitish said people should first look at what they have done in Gujarat. It was only a day back that Modi, while addressing the state BJP executive meeting in Rajkot, had blamed caste politics for the backwardness of Bihar, which irked many Janata Dal (United) leaders.

Though Nitish is in alliance with the BJP in Bihar and had good relationship with Modi in the past ever since both became politically ambitious they started passing remarks against each other. Ever since 2010 Nitish has been trying to maintain distance with Modi.
Though both Modi and Nitish are essentially regional satraps they are busy projecting themselves as the future prime ministerial candidate of NDA.
On the other hand JD(U) national president Sharad Yadav while observing that caste identity is a reality of the country questioned Modi by asking him whether there was no caste identity in Gujarat.
Sharad Yadav, who is essentially not from Bihar but contest election from here, said that Modi seems to have less knowledge of history.
