Patna,(BiharTimes): The Patna district magistrate, Asima Jain, on Saturday ordered the extension of summer vacation of all the private and government schools till June 23 due to excessive heat. They will now open on June 25.
Some of the schools such as St Michael, Ishan International, Beacon Public School etc were to open on June 18 while some others like DAV, Patna Central School and Holy Mission from June 21.

However, St Joseph, Loyala, Notre Dame etc were to re-open from June 25 so they would not be affected.
With monsoon yet to hit the state, Patna and other places are passing through one of the worst summers in the recent years. Last week Patna, with 45.5 degree C recorded highest temperature in a decade.
