Patna,(BiharTimes): Janata Dal (United) national president Sharad Yadav on Monday asked his BJP counterpart Nitin Gadkari to restrain members of his party from making any unwarranted comment when a ‘ceasefire’ has been drawn on the issue.
Commenting on Balbir Punj’s remarks that BJP has not outsourced responsibility of defining who is secular Sharad asked what was the need for such an untimely and illogical statement by the BJP MP, who is also the in-charge of Gujarat for his party affairs? |
“I have talked to BJP President Nitin Gadkari. He should restrain such persons. Such unnecessary talks should not happen,” Sharad, who is the convernor of NDA said.
He said that his party has already drawn a ceasefire by asking its members to consult either him or Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar before speaking out. Last week Sharad even reprimanded his party‘s national spokesman, Shivanand Tiwary, for praising the Congress economic policies and attacking the BJP.
Punj, who is also the former editor of Business Observer, said on Sunday in Vadodra that Narendra Modi was “Prime Minister material”. He also criticised those who questioned Narendra Modi’s secular credentials.
Not only that he went on to state that BJP has “not outsourced” the responsibility of declaring and defining who is secular in the BJP.
