Patna,(BiharTimes): In yet another case of its kind the Patna Police on Sunday recovered the body of a woman from a dry drain at Ramnagari Mor.The police claimed that some pouches of countrymade liquor were also found near the spot from where the body was recovered. The body was sent to the PMCH for autopsy. A large number of people gathered at the spot after hearing the news. |
According to Rajiv Nagar Police Station SHO G D Upadhyaya the deceased was identified as Renu Devi, a resident of Friends Colony. He said that she was a habitual boozer and her husband had also died due to drinking.The SHO said that several times, he had seen Renu lying on the road in a drunken state and sent her to her home. He said that she had also sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out in her hut a couple of years ago. Since the start of the year about half a dozen bodies of women have been recovered from different parts of Patna. This includes that of the leader of Janata Dal (United) Women’s Cell from near the IGIMS gate.Bodies of two males, along with the scooter, were also recovered from a drain opposite the gate of Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park in Bailey Road late last month.
