Patna, March 17 (IANS) Bihar has dismissed 26 police officials for corruption, officials said Saturday.
|
Bihar police chief Abhyanand said the sacking took place in the last two and a half years.
"They have been dismissed after charges of corruption were upheld against them following departmental inquiry," Abhyanand told IANS.
He said corruption will not be tolerated. "Action against corrupt police officials will continue in future also."
He said that over four dozen cases had been lodged against police officers for corruption in the last few years.
