Patna, May 18 (IANS) In another big score, 27 of the 30 students from Bihar's Super 30, a free coaching centre for underprivileged students, have cracked the highly competitive Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) this year, its director said Friday.

"It is again good news that this year, 27 out of the 30 students made it to the IIT-JEE... it has underlined how with proper opportunity, students from poor families can also reach the prestigious IIT," Super 30's founder-director Anand Kumar told IANS.
The successful candidates include the wards of a truck mechanic, a farmer, a daily-wage labourer and vendors.
"All of them have managed to successfully chase their IIT-JEE dreams at Super 30 with their commitment and hard work," he said.
Last year, 24 students of the institute had cleared the IIT-JEE.
Super 30, which helps economically backward students crack the IIT-JEE, was selected by Time magazine in the list of The Best of Asia 2010.
Students from poor families have to pass a competitive test to get into Super 30 and then commit themselves to a year of 16 hours a day study routine. Coaching, food and accommodation are free for the students. Anand Kumar said the institute is supported by income generated from his Ramanujam School of Mathematics, which has students who can afford to pay fees.
In 2003, the first year of the institute, 18 students made it to IITs. In 2008, for the first time, all 30 students of the centre cracked the exam, a feat which was repeated in 2009 and 2010.
The results of IIT-JEE 2012, which was held April 8, were announced Friday morning.

There are so many question raised for super 30 run by Anand Kumar.He started to promote & advertise this Super 30 in 2003,after that he always show result after declaration of IIT result.First time in 2012 he showed name of super 30 students 02 days before IIT result.His claim always questionable,no one verified his claim.As per my knowledge he teaches thousands of students under the banner of Ramanujam school of mathematics.It seems after IIT exam he selected students from total students.It seems there is no such packed super 30 batch.
He should declare name of all students of super 30 after batch formation with full details & Media should verify the details.It seems Super 30 is marketing tools for advertising.He teaches thousands of students,what about is their result?What is sucess ratio of his paid coaching?Is really Super 30 exist or Just marketing gimmick?
Transparency needs in his claim......Nothing should be published on FACE VALUE....
I request bihartimes.com to investigate his claim & show the reality....Because due to super 30 marketing so many poor students take admission in paid coaching run by him.....Anand kumar also not claim any result from paid coaching...this way poor students loosing so much MONEY WITHOUT ANY RESULT.

Anand is doing fraud only by managing media.
Why is he shying away to post name, details of family background (as he is claiming most of these super 30 students could not afford coaching list posted at patnadaly http://patnadaily.com/index.php/news/7293-super-30-releases-list-of-candidates.html ) what does jobless, marginal, job in bank say. He cann;t give their complete address.
What about the students who passed from his Ramanujam Institute. This is the only institute of Patna which didn't announced the no. or name of any student from the institute. The claimed result was over all result of Ramanujam where thousands of students take admission..
Most of the qualified students are from reserved category and their rank is above 10,000. So God knows where they will get admission. So media should expose the modus operandi of this fraud.
