Patna,(BiharTimes): Preeti Chaudhary, the girl who eloped with school-mate Prashant Jha, from Madhubani on Sep 7 and which sparked off large scale violence and subsequent killing of three persons in police firing was on Saturday escorted to her grandmother’s home.
While recording her statement before Chief Judicial Magistrate Ashok Kumar Gupta on Friday, she said she wanted to stay with her grandmother.

Since the grandmother, Manjula Devi, was not available in court on Friday, Preeti was sent to her parents home at Madhubani.
She was escorted by the police to her grandmother’s home in Karharwa village in Saharsa district by the police and her father and mother.
On Friday she was also medically examined and found to be
a minor.
On the other hand 17-year-old Prashant Jha was on Friday sent to a remand home at Darbhanga
