Patna,(BiharTimes): A division bench comprising Justice Mihir Kumar Jha and Justice A K Trivedi of the Patna high court on Tuesday directed the Superintendent of Police, Madhubani to appear before it on September 13 and explain how a girl abducted from Andharathari in the Jhanjharpur subdivision of the district could not be recovered even after four months.

The bench passed the order while hearing a habeas corpus petition of Shiv Shankar Raut. The petitioner has sought the court's direction to the police to rescue his 16-year-old sister, Abha Kumari, from the clutches of her captors whose names have been given to the police.
The counsel of petitioner, Ashok Kumar Karn, submitted in the court that the police had not taken prompt action against the three accused–– Dipu Paswan, Ram Charitra Paswan and Shambhu Paswan. Abha was abducted on May 23, 2012.
The state counsel submitted that police investigation was on.
