New Delhi, Sep 25 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Tuesday dismissed a plea filed by former RJD MP from Bihar Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav seeking quashing of a trial court's decision to issue a production warrant against him.

Justice A.K. Pathak dismissed the plea of Yadav, who is serving a life sentence in Bihar in a murder case.
The trial court Aug 7 sought the appearance of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and issued the production warrant against him. The warrant was to be executed through Bihar home secretary.
The warrant was issued in two criminal cases pending in the trial court.
Yadav moved the high court saying that the trial court judge acted beyond his jurisdiction.
"The trial court has exceeded his jurisdiction by ordering to issue production warrant against Yadav through home secretary, government of Bihar," said Yadav.
The petition filed by Yadav's advocates Rakesh Singh and T.S. Chaudhary said the home secretary of Bihar had no direct statutory authority to do so.
Yadav pleaded that the production warrant issued through home secretary was to create pressure on him.
Due to illness and risk to his life in transit through train, Yadav was opposing the court decision, said Chaudhary.
