India Tourism, Patna celebrated the world Tourism Day on 27th September,2012 with gala and gaiety. In this connection the office premises of India Tourism,Patna was elegantly decorated . Banners with the slogan of this year’s theme ,Tourism and Sustainable energy - Powering Sustainable Energy, were put up at all the strategically located points of Patna and Bodhgaya. |
Traditional welcomes were accorded to the passengers at Patna Airport. A seminar on the theme of this year World Tourism Day was also organized in the office premises which was followed by buffet lunch. The Seminar was graced by luminary like Shri Subhash Chandra, Chairman Bihar State pollution control Board.
Other eminent speakers were Shri Sagnik Chaudhary , General .Manager of Hotel Patliputra Ashok , Shri R.N Mahto, representative of Bihar Tourism, Shri B.N.Parsad , Manager of M/s Ashoka Tours and Travel , Mr. Anoopam Kumar , Lecturer of IHM Hajipur, Mr. U.N.Mishra , Jatak Tours and Travels and Mr. Ajay , Bihar Times. The seminar was presided by Shri S S Devbarman. Director, Indiatourism, Patna who also thanked the speakers and participants. He further explained the role of the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India in powering sustainable energy in the tourism sectors. The seminar was well attended by the officials of various travel trades and organizations related tourism.
