Patna,(BiharTimes): The state police headquarters on Friday sent a proposal to the home department for the suspension of former DIG of Saran, Alok Kumar.
According to the Home Secretary Amir Subhani the report on the former DIG has been received from the police headquarters and is being examined at the government level and further action will be taken accordingly.

Sources said that the state government had made up its mind to suspend the officer to send out a strong message. There are reports that he could be repatriated to his parent Jammu and Kashmir cadre.
The then DIG landed in trouble after a representative of a liquor manufacturing company accused him of demanding Rs 10 crore as extortion from him.
Reports also said chief minister Nitish Kumar has sought to know from the police headquarters why the allegations against him were probed by the economic offences unit (EOU) and not by the Vigilance Investigation Bureau.
The chief minister is reportedly not happy with the way the probe was being conducted against him.
