Patna,(BiharTimes): Justice V N Sinha of Patna high court on Wednesday cancelled the election of the Janata Dal (United) MP from Khagaria, Dinesh Chandra Yadav.
The court ruling came on the petition filed by the CPI nominee, Satya Narayan Singh.

 Dinesh Chandra Yadav, who got elected in May 2009, now cease to remain the member of Parliament.
In his petition Singh alleged that the then Returning Officer illegally rejected his nomination papers on April 11, 2009 and did not give him time to file again. Singh said his papers were rejected on the plea that Form 26 was not properly filled.
However, in spite of requests he was not given time to rectify the mistake.
The high court ruling said that the Returning Officer wrongly rejected the nomination papers. So the Election Commission should hold re-election at appropriate time.
