          Patna, Feb 7  (IANS) A Bihar court Thursday awarded the   death penalty to a 45-year-old man for raping and killing a minor girl   four years ago, a lawyer said. 
           
          Describing the crime as "rarest of   rare", Vaishali Additional District and Sessions Judge Padma Kumari   Choudhary awarded the capital punishment to Bilat Pandit after he was   found guilty.            | 
       
     
	
	 Pandit was charged under the provisions of Sections 367 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), police said. 
 
A   police official said that Pandit lured the girl, daughter of a   washerman, to accompany him to a wedding party in Hajipur, district   headquarters town of Vaishali, some 30 km from here, in May 2008. But he   raped and killed the child after forcibly taking her to a secluded   place.  
 
Pandit dumped the body in a field near Veer Kuer Singh Colony in Hajipur, where he worked as a domestic help, police said.
