Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday supported the view of Janata Dal (United) president, Sharad Yadav, that the nominee for the post of prime minister should be announced by the NDA before elections and the candidate should be chosen in a meeting of all its constituents. |
Talking to reporters here on Monday he said he did not feel the name should be out a year before elections. He said he had never spoken about the time for the announcement.
Nitish, however, did not miss the opportunity to tell the media not to go overboard over the issue and leave the job to the politicians. The overdose of news over the PM’s post was creating ‘confusion’ he said adding it should not be a matter of daily discussion.
On who should be the PM candidate the chief minister said he had already expressed his views on the subject in an interview to a daily. He did not take the name of the Economic Times, to whom he told over six months back that the NDA nominee for the post of prime minister should have secular credentials.
