Patna,(BiharTimes): A single bench of Justice Mihir Kumar Jha of the Patna high court on Tuesday directed the state government not to make appointment of secretariat assistants till any decision is made on the writ petitions challenging the selection test results.
The State Staff Selection Commission had published the result on February 7 in a very short time after the written test was conducted on January 27. |
The Court passed the order while hearing a set of writ petitions of Arun Kumar, Dhananjay Kumar and others challenging the results of secretariat assistant selection test conducted by the State Staff Selection Commission. The Court directed the State government, the Commission and DIG, Economic Offence Unit, to file counter affidavits to the writ petitions by March 1.
The counsels of petitioners Dinu Kumar, Abhinav Srivastava and others, submitted that the advertisement for the post of secretariat assistant was published only on January 17 and the Commission conducted the written test and published results in a haste despite the objection raised by the petitioners. The petitioners also pointed out that the Economic Offence Unit of the state police had earlier conducted raid on the Commission premises and found tampering of answer sheets.
