Patna,(BiharTimes): Leaders of the two national parties––the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party––strongly criticized Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray for his remarks that “all these rapists are from Bihar.”
In a statement Congress spokesman Rashid Alvi said “People are dividing the country into India and Bharat, Maharashtra and Bihar. This is harmful for the nation and for our democracy.”. |
By referring to India and Bharat the Congress spokesman criticized the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat who said that rape cases are more rampant in India and not Bharat.
The BJP, on the other hand, sought disqualification of political parties which are trying to divide the nation.
“Leaders who use hate in their campaigns must be stopped. The Election Commission must disqualify their parties,” said BJP leader Giriraj Singh.
