Patna,(BiharTimes): Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad on Sunday blasted RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief, Raj Thackeray, for their utterances on rapes.
Commenting on Bhagwat’s remarks that incidents of rapes take place in India and not Bharat Lalu described the RSS chief as derailed and out of sync with the time.

The RJD chief said the RSS people have all got derailed. They call themselves as followers of high sounding culture and also teach lessons in Bharatiya culture, but make such utterances.
Last week Bhagwat said in Silchar (Assam) that rapes are more prevalent in India, that is cities, and not Bharat, that is rural India.
The former railway minister said the phenomenon of increasing instances of rape had to be seen and handled in terms of male psychology and drive. Further, the provisions of the IPC, right from the colonial period, had seen the incidents of rape as a result of male drives.
Lalu condemned Raj Thackeray for stating that Biharis should be blamed for the increasing instances of rape all over the country and termed it as dirty and divisive. Crimes can not be seen in terms of Bihari, Punjabi, Marathi, or any regional identity. The entire population of a state cannot be blamed for any crime committed by one person from that particular state, he said.
In this regard he highlighted the killing of a Bihari student in Odisha. He said the people of state are concerned over the killing but do not blame the entire people of Odisha for the crime committed by a few persons.
Meanwhile, Ram Chandra Purve was re-elected as the state unit chief of RJD after the state council meeting on Sunday.
