Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar cabinet on Tuesday finally gave its nod for the appointment of 3,000 lecturers in various colleges through Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).
The government has decided to follow the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines in the recruitments.
The meeting also approved Rs 243.27 crore for the development of the Ganga riverfront in the state capital, including construction of a 3.5 km road along the ghats and their beautification.
The cabinet has also cleared the procurement of Rs 493 crore loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for supply of water in Bhagalpur.
In another major decision, the cabinet gave its approval to provide Rs 1,800 monthly pension to leprosy patients in the state. The welfare department has been entrusted the task of making payments.
Besides, a sum of Rs 39 crore would be given as loan to private players for setting up a dedicated feeder for agriculture purposes in Naubatpur block of Patna district.
The government has now made mandatory the payment of earnest money online in all the e-tendering. Now, no cheque would be accepted by any government department issuing e-tendering for any job.
The cabinet also sanctioned Rs 26 crore to clear all salary dues of Gram Kuchheri and Gram Mitra
In all the cabinet took over 36 decisions.
It also made online deposit of earnest money and bid processing fee mandatory to strengthen e-tendering.
