Patna,(BiharTimes): Political uncertainty continues to grip NDA a day after chief minister Nitish Kumar’s statement in the state Assembly that at present the alliance in Bihar is intact, but nobody knows about future, and hours after reported meeting between Congress leader Ahmad Patel and Janata Dal (United) chief, Sharad Yadav.
Reports from New Delhi said on Wednesday that as a part of the Congress move to reach out to Janata Dal (United), Ahmad Patel met Sharad Yadav.
When Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was asked by reporters in the state Assembly for his comment he did not say anything.
However, senior minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary of Janata Dal (United) denied that anything was cooking up between the Congress and the JD(U). He asked as to where is the question of growing proximity with Congress? The Prime Minister is from the Congress therefore the chief minister met him with demand for special category status.
However, his ministerial colleague, Giriraj Singh of the BJP, has once again spoken critically about the JD(U) move. He said his party is preparing itself for all the 56,000 booths whether the election is held in alliance or alone. He thus dropped eough hint that the BJP should not be taken for granted and that it is in the position of going alone.
In the meantime Janata Dal (United) MLC and a close confidant, Devesh Chandra Thakur, while talking to media did not see anything in the meeting. He said Patel is an MP, so is Sharad Yadavji and parliamentarians meet each other in Parliament very often. So what is new in it, he asked.
