Patna,(BiharTimes): Six months before the Lok Sabha election the central leadership of Congress on Friday constituted a jumbo-sized Pradesh Congress Committee in Bihar.
The central leadership appointed 17 vice presidents, 24 general secretaries, 97 secretaries, 84 organising secretaries and 11 spokespersons.
Besides, an 83-member executive committee of senior leaders has also been set up, which included Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ashok Chaudhary, Congress Legislature Party leader Sadanand Singh, AICC general secretary Shakeel Ahmed, former Union Minister K K Tiwari, Kishanganj MP Maulana Asrarul Haque, former ministers in Bihar government Shakil-uz-Zaman Ansari and Vijay Shankar Dubey.
Seven senior leaders including some former state party chiefs Chandan Bagchi, Ram Jatan Sinha, Anil Sharma and Mehboob Ali Qaisar have been made special invitee to the reconstituted PCC.
The constitution of the state Committee came after detailed discussion on Bihar affairs held by party vice president, Rahul Gandhi.
