Extortion case filed against JD(U) MLA Anant Singh

Patna,(BiharTimes): A builder has lodged a case in Shri Krishna Puri police station of Patna against controversial Janata Dal (United) MLA from Mokama, Anant Singh, alleging that latter had demanded Rs 12 crore from him as extortion money.

Anant Singh, considered close to the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is a strongman of Barh-Mokama belt of Patna district. There are several serious cases pending against him.

Only last February he was in the news when Social Welfare Minister Parween Amanullah, got evicted the land his hotel had encroached in Patna’s posh Patliputra Colony.
