Patna,(BiharTimes): The Jitan Ram Manjhi government on  Saturday shifted Superintendent of Police of Bihar Human  Rights Commission, Amitabh Kumar Das, from his post and made  him SP-cum-Assistant Citizens Security Commissioner. 

S M Vakil Ahmad will take place of Das in the Bihar Human  Rights Commission. Immediately after Giriraj Singh was inducted into the  Narendra Modi cabinet last month the SP had on November 10  written a letter to the Special Branch alleging “sweet  relationship” between the new minister and the outlawed  Ranvir Sena.

The BHRC Chairman had on November 10 itself served a show  cause to Das for writing to the Special Branch of state  police though no such letter was sought from him.  The letter was written to Special Branch Inspector General  (IG) J S Gangwar, and marked to BHRC Chairman and its two  other members.

The BHRC Chairman also asked Das for his clarification for  using the letterhead and the logo of the Commission, as well  as, giving the impression that his opinion was that of the  BHRC.
