Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Dineshwar Sharma is most likely to be appointed as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).According to reports Sharma, who originally belongs to Pali village near Bela of Gaya district in Bihar.Sharma is closely related to Abhayanand another senior IPS officer from Gaya.He is a Kerala cadre 1979-batch IPS officer, will succeed Syed Asif Ibrahim whose tenure ends this month.Ibrahim is a 1977-batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IPS officer, who took over as the IB chief on January 1, 2013. A seasoned intelligence officer, Sharma is extremely popular among spies. His colleagues vouch for his simplicity and down to earth approach towards his subordinates. Sharma, who worked with present National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in IB, is learnt to have excellent coordination with him. An excellent analyst, Sharma is said to have volunteered to serve in Kashmir valley in 90s.
