08/12/2014 All those found guilty by the court are innocent, says L N Mishra’s son |
Patna,(BiharTimes): While Vijay Kumar Mishra, the son of the then railway minister Lalit Narayan Mishra, said that all those found guilty by the court in his father’s killing are actually innocent, the brother of the late leader Dr Jagannath Mishra welcomed this much-delayed ruling.
Dr Mishra, who is also one of the witnesses, said it remained a mystery as to what was the motive behind the murder. What was the purpose of removing him from the scene. Dr Mishra became the chief minister of Bihar for the first time a few months after the killing of his brother. On the other hand the son, Vijay Kumar Mishra, who is presently JD(U) MLC, refused to accept the court ruling and expressed doubt over the CBI investigation. He said actually all those four found guilty were falsely implicated as the main accused have been left untouched. He said the ruling is now meaningless. This delay has deliberately been made to protect the real accused. He sought re-investigation of the case. However, his son, Rishi Kumar Mishra, who is JD(U) MLA, also questioned the delay but did not say that the convicted persons are innocent. However, Congress spokesman, Prem Chand Mishra, criticized Vijay Kumar Mishra for politicizing the court ruling as he had left the Congress long back and had been in the BJP for quite a few years. (It is only on the eve of the Lok Sabha election this year that Vijay was thrown out from the party and later became the MLC of the ruling party of Bihar). “I firmly believe that those against the Congress were involved in the killing of Lalit Babu, who was a towering leader of the party,” he said. The state party spokesman also said that Vijay Mishra should move court if he is not satisfied by the ruling and not play politics of the BJP with which he had been associated till recently. “How can he said that the innocent have been implicated? He should move court and prove his case,” Prem Chand Mishra said. The Congress leader said that it is surprising that he is saying something very different what his own son and Dr Jagannath Mishra, have said. Incidentally, all the three Mishras are now in JD(U) and Dr
Mishra’s son Nitish is even minister in the Jitan Ram Manjhi
cabinet.
