Patna,(BiharTimes): Former Bihar minister Vijay Kumar Singh, died at a private hospital in Patna early on Tuesday morning following a brief illness. He was 88 and is survivied by wife and two sons.

He was suffering from heart and kidney related ailments.Related to the first finance minister of Bihar Anugrah Narain Singh he represented Rafiganj Assembly constituency in Aurangabad district three times between 1980 and 1995.

He served as Science and technolgy minister in the Bindeshwari Dubey cabinet in mid-1980s and Finance Minister in the government of Bhagwat Jha Azad.He played a key role in setting up Anugrah Narain Magadh Medical College and Hospital in Gaya.
