Patna,(BiharTimes): Over 30 ward councillors of Patna Municipal Corporation on Wednesday evening took out a torch-light procession from Maurya Lok Complex to Kargil Chowk to protest against the controversial move of the urban development and housing department to recommend its dissolution.They later met former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi.

According to the deputy mayor Roop Narayan Mehta the ward councillors are protesting against the arbitrary action taken by minister Samrat Choudhary, who last month recommended dissolution of the PMC to the chief minister. However, the latter is yet to take any decision.Mehta said that the charges made by the minister for dissolving PMC are completely false and he is pursuing his malicious intentions to weaken the PMC.
