Why Nitish was not rewarded for his works, asks Manjhi from people
Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Thursday asked the people of Bihar as to why his predecessor and former chief minister Nitish Kumar was not rewarded in the Lok Sabha election for the good works he did in the last eight years.
Addressing a function at Madhuban in East Champaran he said the state had witnessed sharp rise in growth rate, per capita income as well as literacy rate have gone up and Bihar had made all-round progress. The state made good progress in the infrastructure and agriculture sectors and the industrial climate had changed. It was pulled out of morass by Nitish Kumar yet the election results went against the Janata Dal (United), he regretted.
Manjhi asked the people as to what was the fault of Nitish Kumar for which the JD(U) was punished. He cautioned the people not to be carried away by the false propaganda being carried by the political rivals to defame him and his party and its leaders.
