Patna,(BiharTimes): BJP MLA Vikram Kuer on Monday directly blamed the home secretary of Bihar, Amir Subhani, for the deteriorating law and order situation in Siwan and adjoining areas.

He said that Subhani is originally from Siwan––the home district of former RJD MP, Mohammad Shahabuddin. The BJP on Sunday alleged that Shahabuddin had released a hit list of 23 people in the district, most of them partymen.

Vikram Kuer, who was in the RJD in the past and was considered even close to Shahabuddin, said that Subhani has been on his post for the last five years even when the tenure is only of three years. The party MLA asked as to why the state government had not removed Subhani from his post when the law and order situation had continuously been deteriorating.

This is the first time that any BJP MLA has directly held any senior bureaucrat responsible for the poor law and order situation.

Incidentally, Subhani was appointed the home secretary when the saffron party was sharing power with the JD(U) and had worked on this post for several years.
