Patna,(BiharTimes): A day after the termination of Assembly membership the Janata Dal (United) on Sunday expelled four of its legislators from the party for the anti-party activities.
The axe has fallen on Gyanendra Singh Gyanu, Neeraj Kumar Bablu, Ravindra Rai and Rahul Sharma. It is only on Saturday that the Speaker of the Assembly, Uday Narayan Chaudhary, terminated the membership of these legislators. They have also been deprived of all the benefits and privileges as the former MLAs.
The state party chief, Bashistha Narayan Singh, while defending the party’s action said that these legislators have violated the party’s stand and should not consider themselves within the party. They should themselves leave the party rather than complain.
He said that these four MLAs got ample opportunity to explain their position before the Speaker.
