Patna,(BiharTimes): RITES has submitted a technical feasibility and detailed project report on Metro rail project in Patna to the urban development and housing department.

However, the report has narrowed down the network of Metro rail to just two corridors covering 31km.
The first corridor would run from Mithapur bus stand to Saguna More via Bailey Road and Patna Junction, covering a length of 14.5km.

The second is to be run from Patna Junction to a proposed bus stand at Bairiya via Ashok Rajpath, Gandhi Maidan and Rajendra Nagar Terminal, covering 16.5km.

According to state’s urban development minister Samrat Choudhary following the submission of the final report, a meeting with the chief secretary has been scheduled on November 13. He said the cost is estimated at Rs 14,000 crore. Steps are being taken to form a special purpose vehicle to execute the project.
