Patna,(BiharTimes): The state government on Friday transferred 19 IAS officers, including principal secretaries of cabinet coordination department, food and consumer protection, health and industries.

Principal secretary, cabinet coordination department, Brajesh Mehrotra has been made principal secretary, health. Mehrotra will continue to hold additional charge of principal secretary to the governor. With effect from November 15, Mehrotra will hold additional charge of principal secretary, industries and sugarcane departments till November 28. Both the incumbents will be attending compulsory training during this period.

The cabinet coordination department was recently criticized by the chief minister, Jitan Ram Manjhi, for not informing him about the circular prohibiting the appointment of close relatives as the personal assistant.

The principal secretary of chief minister, Deepak Kumar, will also hold the additional charge of principal secretary, resident commissioner, in New Delhi. He has been relieved of the additional charge of principal secretary, health department. Outgoing resident commissioner Sunil Barthwal has been made principal secretary, cabinet coordination department. Barthwal will hold additional charge of member-secretary, Bihar state advisory committee. Principal secretary, sugarcane department and OSD in the industries department, Ravi Mittal has been made principal secretary, industries. Mittal will continue to hold the additional charge of sugarcane department.

Principal secretary, industries, Navin Verma, is going on central deputation as additional secretary, RAW.

Secretary, rural development department, S M Raju has been given additional charge of SC/ST welfare department and secretary, state Mahadalit Commission.

N Vijaylakshmi, who was till the Oct 3 stampede in Gandhi Maidan Commissioner of Patna, has been given charge of mission director, State Livelihood Mission.

Project director, Jeevika and rural water supply and cleanliness programme, and secretary, PHED, Vinay Kumar has been made MD, Bihar State Pul Nirman Nigam. He will hold additional charge of World Bank-sponsored rural water supply programme and PHED.

Former Patna district magistrate, Manish Kumar Verma, has been made special secretary cum additional commissioner, department of commercial taxes. He will also hold the additional charge of director, social security.

He was shifted out after the October 3 stampede at the southern gate of Gandhi Maidan after Ravan Dahan. In all33 people died in the incident.

Project director, Bihar Education Project (BEP) with additional charge of secretary, primary and secondary education, Rahul Singh has been made MD, Beltron. Singh will hold additional charge of MDs of Bihar State Infrastructure Development Authority and BIADA.

Executive director, State Health Society, Bihar, Anand Kishore, having additional charge of secretary, health, has been given additional charge of art, culture and youth programme. Additional secretary, education, K Senthil Kumar has been given additional charge of director, secondary education.

Labour commissioner Suresh K Sinha has been made sugarcane commissioner. Incumbent Saiyyad Parvez Alam will replace Sinha in the labour department.

MD, Bihar State Pul Nigam, Sridhar Cheribulu has been made project director, BEP. Director, primary education, Manish Kumar has been made joint secretary in the education department.

Director, panchayati raj, Deepak Anand has been given additional charge of commissioner, MNREGA.
