Manjhi refuses to be gagged, challenges JD(U) leadership
Patna,(BiharTimes): Ignoring warnings and advice of his party JD-U over his controversial remarks in recent days, Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi Sunday said that he will not bow before anyone and he would continue to speak as usual.
Manjhi also hinted that his days as chief minister are numbered and he may be removed in November itself.
Addressing a function of SC, ST doctors the chief minister openly warned those who are advising him not to speak the truth.

Jitan Ram Manjhi kamzoor nahin hai… Hum ko pata hai ke November tak jayenge (Many people have started giving advise to Jitan Ram Manjhi, but he is not weak…I know that I can continue till November), he said hinting that he may be removed by the end of the month.“Jo Jitan Ram Manjhi chahe ga wahi karega. (Jitan Ram Manjhi would do what he would like to do.) Without taking the name of JD(U) MLA, Anant Singh, who is considered close to Nitish Kumar, he said that some people are highly educated and have PhD degree and are giving him the certificate of ‘pagal’ (mad). “I just bow my head before
them,” he added.
Manjhi was not only sarcastic, but aggressive too, and in a way openly threw down the gauntlet to the party bosses to get rid of him. By hitting out at Anant Singh he had sent a message loud and clear to Nitish Kumar and by hinting at those who gave sermon he not only targeted party’s national general secretary, K C Tyagi, but its national president, Sharad Yadav, too.He minced no words to say that he was not weak and was not going to bow down.
On Sunday he was in the meeting of the intellectuals of his community and his speech evoked good response from the the gathering. He highlighted the contribution of Dasrath Manjhi and said that there was a conspiracy to keep Dalits backwards.
