Nitish, Sharad meet after open challenge from Manjhi
Patna,(BiharTimes): Former chief minister Nitish Kumar and Janata Dal (United) national president, Sharad Yadav, met at dinner at the residence of the former on Sunday night. The close-door meeting lasted for two hours, but the two leaders refused to say much. While departing for Sheikhpura for the Sampark Yatra Nitish just said that he would say anything only after November 29. It is on this day that his Sampark Yatra is coming to end with a meeting of party’s workers in Patna.
Sharad too was laconic in his reply. He just said that the party matters were discussed and that everything is all right. The two leaders seem to have decided not to react to chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s remarks as the move has backfired. Manjhi on Sunday strongly reacted to party’s general secretary, K C Tyagi’s advice to him not to issue controversial statements.
The two leaders also chalked out the future course of action for the party as on Dec 2-3 leaders of Janata Parivar are meeting in New Delhi. Incidentally, the two top JD(U) leaders met in Patna after sharing platform during Sampark Yatra in Supaul on Sunday.
Besides, the dinner talk came hours ahead of Monday meeting of the MPs and legislators of grand alliance called by Manjhi. Both Nitish and Sharad had not been invited by the CM for the meeting.
