RJD dissociates itself from Pappu’s stir against doctors
Patna,(BiharTimes): The state president of Rashtriya Janata Dal, Ram Chandra Purbey, has said that his party has nothing to do with the agitation launched against doctors by one of its MP, Rajesh Ranjan, alias Pappu Yadav, under the banner of Yuva Shakti. The party does not support the agitation launched by the MP and has appealed to the workers not to participate in meetings held under the banner of any other organization.
However, he said that the RJD leadership would decide on what action could be taken against the MP.
The RJD is upset over the fact that Pappu had started an agitation against the doctors without informing even the party chief, Lalu Prasad Yadav. However, the party is a bit worred as Pappu is drawing large
crowd. The Madhepura MP has launched an agitation against the doctors allegedly fleecing the poor.
According to political observers Pappu is fast becoming what Jitan Ram Manjhi is for the JD(U). The only difference is that Pappu has a long history of rebelling against different party leadership. He had long been an Independent MP. His wife, Ranjita Ranjan, is a Congress MP.He had earlier called Indian Medical Association (IMA) as Indian Murder Association. He had also demanded dissolution of the Bihar Legislative Council.
