Patna,(BiharTimes): The national president of the Janata Dal
(United) on Thursday evening called the meeting of Janata Dal
(United) Legislative Party on February 7 (Saturday).
It is usually the chief minister, who calls the meeting of
the Legislative Party, but sometimes party chief also calls
such meeting.
State JD(U) chief Vashistha Narayan Singh said that all the
issues would be discussed, including the one related to the
leadership.
However, party insiders are of the view that only the
leadership issue would come up during the meeting as chief
minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has refused to resign
notwithstanding pressure from the party leadership.
The meeting would be held in the Annexe building of the Bihar
Assembly.
It needs to be mentioned that the Budget Session of the Bihar
Assembly is to start on February 20.
Meanwhile, Manjhi on Thursday once again said that he is
working under pressure from some quarters.
“I am being accused of doing much for the poor; but whom
should I work for if not for the poor,” he said in a
function.
