Patna,(BiharTimes): Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary on Monday declared chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi as unattached member of Bihar Assembly following his expulsion from JD(U). The party also expelled five more MLAs, including agriculture minister Narendra Singh and his son Sumit.
According to the Speaker the letter of Bihar JD(U) president Vasistha Narayan Singh, along with a copy of letter of the national president of the party, Sharad Yadav, regarding expulsion of Manjhi from the party, was received by his office with a request to remove him from list of JD(U) in the House.The Speaker has already recognised Nitish Kumar as new leader of JD(U) Legislature Party in the House.
