Nitish accuses governor of violating Constitutional nroms
Patna,(BiharTimes): The ‘leader’ of the Janata Dal (United)
Legislature Party, Nitish Kumar, on Thursday hit out at
governor, Keshri Nath Tripathi, for fixing February 20 as date
for chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi to prove majority.
Speaking to the media after returning to Patna from New Delhi
he asked as to why has the governor given so much time for
floor-testing? After all whose speech would the governor read
in the all important Budget Session of the Bihar Assembly?
Will it be of the Manjhi government which enjoys the support
of just 12 MLAs as till now even the BJP has not declared it
support to it.
Nitish said that by giving more than eight days time the
governor is simply encouraging horsetrading and creating an
atmosphere to impose the President’s Rule.
The former chief minister said that all the Constitutional
norms are being violated and that too on the eve of the joint
address to the state Assembly. He openly held prime minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit
Shah responsible for whatever is happening in Bihar. “The
Press conference Manjhi addressed after his meeting with
Narendra Modi is a clear indication to this fact,” he said.
