15/02/2015 Parties urge governor to stop Manjhi from taking policy decisions |
Patna,(BiharTimes): Janata Dal (United), Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress and Independent supporting Nitish Kumar have asked as to how can a chief minister who had been asked to prove majority on the floor of the House on Feb 20 take such important policy decision. A delegation of these parties on Saturday submitted a memorandum to the Governor Keshri Nath Tripathi demanding immediate stay on implementation of all such policy decisions taken by Jitan Ram Manjhi government since February 7, when it lost majority in the JD(U)LP.They urged the Governor to direct Manjhi to only look after routine work and not to take policy decisions. The petition was submitted to Principal Secretary to Governor Brajesh Mehrotra.Later senior JD(U) leader Vijay Chaudhary, who was a part of delegation, told mediapersons that the decisions taken by Manjhi would have serious adverse impact on administrative and financial system of the state.Apart from him, state JD(U) president Vashistha Narayan Singh, RJD Legislature party leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui, state Congress president Ashok Choudhary, Independent MLA Dulal Chand Goswami and legislators of all these parties marched to Raj Bhawan to submit the memorandum.
