Patna,(BiharTimes): In some unusual development on Sunday chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi met governor Keshri Nath Tripathi at Bengal House in New Delhi. Later he also called on the Union home minister Rajnath Singh.

After his meeting with the Bihar CM, the governor met prime minister Narendra Modi.Though no official briefinhg was nade after the Manjhi-Rajnath meeting reports from New Delhi suggest that it might have something to do with the recommendation reportedly made by the Bihar CM for the CBI probe into the murder of the LJP leader and former Janata Dal MP of Gaya, Rajesh Kumar Paswan. Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary is alleged to be a key suspect in that murder which took place a decade back.As the meeting took place just five days ahead of the Feb 20 trial of strength it has raised speculations in political circle. Why a chief minister, who has been asked to prove his majority, is so frequently meeting the governor? This time outside the state.

Apparently, Manjhi flew to New Delhi to attend the marriage reception of the son of the BJP national president Amit Shah.Reports from New Delhi also say that he has sought time from the prime minister.After meeting the governor Manjhi refused to talk to the media.
