Patna,(BiharTimes): The grandson (daughter’s son) of chief minister Jitan Ram Kumar was reportedly assaulted by some people at Ranipur village under Bhelawar police outpost of Jehanabad district on Tuesday evening.

Reports said that Amit Kumar was hit in the head and has been referred to the Sadar Hospital of Jehanabad.It all started after the police raids on some local Dalits engaged in illicit liquor business. They got enraged and started blaming Amit Kumar as police often used to come to the village at his instance.
A verbal duel started. Soon the situation turned ugly and Amit got injured in the process.
